Four Questions

There was once a great scholar.
Everybody in the kingdom
appreciated him because he
so learned. Unfortunately, in
spite of his great learning he had great pride. One day this
scholar put on a
gold necklace and went to the
palace of another king. He said,
"Whoever can defeat me in
wisdom will get this necklace. I challenge everybody!" All the
scholars in that
particular kingdom had heard
about this scholar and they
were afraid that they would
lose. So they would not accept his challenge. The king was
very sad that nobody would
accept the challenge.
Finally, the court jester said, I
accept your challenge."
The king had almost surrendered to the scholar but
thought it would be amusing to
see his jester compete. He
believed he was only a joker
and would not be able to win
the necklace. The court jester said, "I will
ask you four questions. if you
answer any of my questions
correctly, then you will lose,
but if all your answers are
incorrect, then I will accept defeat and the king will give
you anything you want."
Then the court jester asked his
first question: "Where do you
come from?"
The scholar said, I live here." This was incorrect, since he
came from another kingdom.
by giving the wrong answer
scholar passed the first test. The jester's second question
was, "How long have you been
here?" "Three years," the
scholar said,
which was also incorrect. Still
the court jester was unable to trick him.
The third time the jester
"Our king is good, kind and
generous. Do you agree?"
The scholar said, "Your king? What you are saying is totally
wrong. Your king is undivine
and very unkind." So again the
scholar passed the test. The
court jester said, "It seems
that I can't defeat you. How many questions have I asked so
The scholar said, "You have
asked me three questions; you
have one more. If I do not
answer it correctly you will lose. "
The court jester cried out,
"Look! The scholar has lost. He
has answered this question
So the scholar gave his necklace to the court jester,
and the jester immediately
gave it to the king. The
scholar's pride was totally
smashed. He said, "I will never
come to your kingdom to challenge anybody again."
All the scholars were very
impressed by the court jester's
cleverness. They knew that
they would not have been able
to defeat the great scholar. The jester said, "You see, when
great scholars are not alert,
they lose. Had he been alert, he
could have saved himself."

Vampire Crush

"Because when I'm with you, I still feel like me. And maybe that's
enough." - James Hallowell

I swear, my life was always
totally normal. Normal house, normal
family, normal school. My
looks are average, I don't
have any superpowers, no
one's showing up to tell me
I'm a princess - you get the picture. But when my junior
year started, something not
normal happened. There
were new kids at school . . .
new kids with a wardrobe
straight out of a 19th- century romance novel, and
an inexplicable desire to
stay at school until sundown. And on top of that, James
Hallowell showed up.
James, who stole my
sandwiches in fourth grade
and teased me mercilessly
through middle school. James, who now seems to
have the power to make my
heart race any time he
comes near. But something weird is going
on. Because James rarely
goes out during the day.
And he seems stronger than
your typical guy. And he
knows the new kids, all of whom seem to be harboring
some kind of deep
secret. . . .

Ahh done reading this at last. It took me to loooong to finish this
one. It wasn't that boring really it's just that my attention's been
diverting to other things lately it was a good one. Though I'm telling
you not to compare this to Twilight. Believe me. . Too different. I
love how quirky and fun read this is.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Why Why Love?

"..when there
are no hopes, then there will be no disappointments." - Tong Jia Di

Yes! Another Mike He Jun Xiang - Rainie Yang Cheng Lin series for me.
I watched this two times already. It still gave me the kilig factor as
always. But then through the years i still hate the part where Hou Da
got sick it really wasn't necessary show. To tell you the truth. But
then yeah well you want to show the people the softer side of their
dad so be it. -_-

Judy forgive me for telling you this. I got so distracted by your
hairstyles. I wanted to cry out during those heartwrenching moments
but then, . . . Never mind. Just sue your hairstylist here. :)

Tong Jia Di needs a life besides
work, paying down family debt,
and more work. So her best

her feet. As it so happens, Huo

Jia Di has secret crush on, is the
lucky guy. But, tho' the prince

he will, especially when his devilish

Devil Beside You

"There are people that intend to hurt you, but there are also people
who get hurt because you are hurt." – Yuan Yi

Ah! It came to an end. *sigh*

i have always been a fan of Mike He Jun Xiang. I even almost believe
that i'm inlove with him, but i know i'm not. :)

I love his characters more since i don't really know the real him.

Devil Beside You is no difference. I didn't watch it because of him or
because of Rainie Yang Chen Ling.

i watched it because it was worth watching.

it was easy to love and easy to understand.

It's truly amazing for me when i couldn't get enough of the series i'm
watching. Like. . Even after the ending i still want to continue watch
over their happenings. Isn't that great?

why don't you watch it too and let me know what you think. :)

kwentong horror: 31st floor

Source: google+

31st Floor
Mark Angeles

"Call center butterfly" ang tawag nila sa tulad ko. Hindi kasi ako
mapirmi sa isang call center. Hindi ko na usually inaabot ang
regularization, lumilipat ako agad sa iba after a few weeks on the
floor. Ewan ko. Siguro that is how I was wired.
It works for me.
But sometimes it bothers me. Hindi ko ito nababanggit sa iba. Pero
I'm a ghost magnet yata. Most of the time, graveyard shift ako so 'pag
magparamdam.
May isang
utility man daw kasing nagkukumpuni ng sirang elevator tas nag-short
yata 'yung mga kable. Ayun, nabagsakan siya ng elevator mismo. Patay
Isang madaling-araw, nang mag-round yung guwardiya, binuksan niya
'yung Training Room 3. May nakita raw siyang tao na nakaharap sa
computer. Akala niya agent.
kanya so tinawag niya. Hindi ito sumagot. Pagbukas niya ng ilaw, wala
siyang nakitang tao.
At least,
kamay, 'yung tipong naaksidente.
Sabado kaya
Pinindot ko 'yung "down" button. Binilang ko sa isip 'yung changing
numbers sa itaas. Nag-ding ang elevator at bumukas ang pinto. Walang
tao. Nakita ko 'yung reflection ko sa salamin. Nilingon ko si manong
tas nag-wave siya sa akin. Pumasok ako sa elevator at pinindot yung
"G" para bumaba sa ground floor.
Kulob 'yung katahimikan.
Bumukas
'yung door. Walang tao. Nung magsasara na 'yung door biglang may
lumapit na matandang babae, may kasunod na bata. Pinindot ko 'yung
button para bumukas ulit ang pintuan. "Salamat," sabi niya. Nakahawak
sa braso niya 'yung bata.
Nakatingin sa akin 'yung bata. Nakakapote siya, yung transparent.
Pero basang-basa yung buhok niya. Basa pati 'yung gilid ng mga mata
niya.
nila. May dala siyang malaking shoulder bag.
In-open ko 'yung playlist at ini-scroll down ko sa "On The Radio"
ni Regina Spektor. Clinick ko 'yung play. Sa itaas ng pintuan ng
elevator, pababa nang pababa 'yung mga numbers: 28, 27, 26, 25 ...
Biglang bumukas ang pintuan sa 23rd floor. Nagulat ako. Nagkatinginan
kami ng babae. Hinintay naming may pumasok. As usual, walang tao.
Nakakayamot.
"Ha? Anong anak?" pagtataka niya.
"Kanina may kasunod po kayong bata e. Nakakapote."
"Mag-isa lang akong bumaba," sagot niya.
Nagbiro 'yung guard.

kwentong horror: 7th Floor

Way back 2007, I worked at the 7th Floor, MCC Steel Corporation as a
Purchasing Assistant for about a week. Since the building is very old,
I have heard so many stories about the ghost who haunts the whole
department. On the third day of my work, during lunchtime I went to
the Comfort Room, it was big and it has 4 cubicles. I chose the fourth
cubicle. The moment I closed the door, I heard a FLUSH coming from the
first cubicle.

It was really weird because I haven't seen anyone who entered the CR
with me. Besides, if someone entered right after me, I would hear the
door opens because it was really heavy. So, I went out and checked the
first cubicle and no one was there, the scary part was, when I saw the
water from the toilet bowl drained down like if someone FLUSHED the
toilet. It scared the hell out of me and I ran as fast as I could.
After that incident, I never went to the Comfort Room on that floor.
This was one of the reasons why I quit the job.

My officemates told me that the 7th floor specially the Comfort Room
was haunted by a ghost lady. Some employees including me saw a blood
on the water tank. Even the reliance of the building was scared every
time she went to the 7th floor and cleans the whole area. She said
that she heard so many things and you would have a very eerie feeling
when you're alone on that floor, even daytime. We were not really sure
what is the reason behind all the haunting. All I know is I don't want
to go back there!

Thank you for reading.

6 Lessons of Life

Source: google+

Lesson 1: Naked Wife
A man is getting into the
shower just as his wife is
finishing up her shower when
the doorbell rings. The wife
quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.
When she opens the door,
there stands Bob, the next
door neighbor. Before she says
a word, Bob says, "I'll give you
$800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment,
the woman drops her towel
and stands naked in front of
Bob. After a few seconds, Bob
hands her $800 dollars and
leaves. The woman wraps back
up in the towel and goes back
upstairs. When she gets to
the bathroom, her husband asks,… "Who was that?" "It was Bob
the next door neighbor," she
replies. "Great!" the husband
says, "Did he say anything
about the $800 he owes me?"

Moral of the story:
If you share critical
information pertaining to
credit and risk with your
shareholders in time, you may
be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:
A sales rep, an administration
clerk, and the manager are
walking to lunch when they
find an antique oil lamp. They
rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I'll give each
of you just one wish" "Me
first! Me first!" says the
administration clerk. "I want
to be in the Bahamas, driving
a speedboat, without a care in the world." Poof! She's gone.
"Me next! Me next!" says the
sales rep. "I want to be in
Hawaii,relaxing on the beach
with my personal masseuse, an
endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life." Poof!
He's gone. "OK, you're up,"
the Genie says to the
manager. The manager says, "I
want those two back in the
office after lunch."

Moral of the story: Always let
your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3:
A priest offered a lift to a
Nun. She got in and crossed
her legs, forcing her gown to
reveal a leg. The priest nearly
had an accident. After controlling the car, he
stealthily slid his hand up her
leg. The nun said,"Father,
remember Psalm 129?" The
priest removed his hand.
But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The
nun once again said, "Father,
remember Psalm 129?" The
priest apologized "Sorry sister
but the flesh is weak."
Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his
arrival at the church, the
priest rushed to look up Psalm
129. It said, "Go forth and
seek, further up, you will find

Moral of the story: If you are
not well informed in your job,
you might miss a great

Lesson 4:
A crow was sitting on a tree,
doing nothing all day. A rabbit
asked him,"Can I also sit like
you and do nothing all day
long?" The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit
sat on the ground below the
crow, and rested. ...A fox jumped on the rabbit
and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be
sitting and doing nothing, you
must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma
A turkey was chatting with a
bull "I would love to be able to
get to the top of that tree,"
sighed the turkey, but I
haven't got the energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on
my droppings?" replied the bull.
"They're packed with
nutrients." The turkey pecked
at a lump of dung and found
that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest
branch of the tree. The next
day, after eating some more
dung, he reached the second
branch. Finally after a fourth
night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the
tree. Soon he was spotted by
a farmer, who shot the
turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit
might get you to the top, but
it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6:
A little bird was flying south
for the winter. It was so cold
the bird froze and fell to the
ground into a large field. While
he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some
dung on him. As the frozen
bird lay there in the pile of
cow dung, he began to realize
how warm he was. The dung
was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and
happy, and soon began to sing
for joy. A passing cat heard
the bird singing and came to
investigate. Following the
sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow
dung, and promptly dug him
out and ate him.

Moral of the story:
1. Not everyone who shits on
you is your enemy
2. Not everyone who gets you
out of shit is your friend
3. And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your
mouth shut!

Love Keeps Going

"Do you know why I can't relax
around you? It's because you are
so much like him. And sadly… you
are not him." – Zha Mei Le

The Plot:

It all started when Zha Mei Le
was just a little girl; she was
care free and not really bright.
She overheard her parents
agreeing to a divorce and
deciding which child should stay with who, both of them didn't
want Mei Le, so Mei Le decided
to change that. She started
doing her best at everything,
being well behaved, caring,
obedient and even smart! She's a jack of all trade. She had tons of
everyone enjoyed to be with her
at work, and her boss just
admired her hard work. That's
how she even met her boyfriend
Han Yi Feng; through her kind and caring soul, even his family
loved her.. except his brother,
Han Yi Lie. Kind hearted Mei Le,
was just doing a favor that her
boyfriend asked: to pick Yi Lie at
the airport, and right from the start, the two of them disliked
each other. But on the other
hand, Mei Le was also trying
really hard to fulfill her
boyfriend's dream of owning a
bakery. But when she finds out the her relationship with Yi Feng,
isn't as pure as she thought it
was, she finds her self with his
brother! See how this drama
unfolds, when things begin to
heat up!

My thoughts:

It started out okay. Just as what I would always want a romcom series
to be. I had my moments with this series. It's obviously because of
Mike He that I especially picked this one, it's not that I don't like
Cyndi Wang, i have a watched a couple of her series too mind you. And
eventhough she's annoying to watch there is just this charm she's got
that makes you want to see her more. She may not be the best actress
but she can play the "just right" emotions an actress needs. On the
other hand, i haven't watched all of Mike He's project so, so far,
i've only see him more human here though sometimes his acting here
went a little off. But i think it was all right because he is made to
be coldblooded here so crash that out. The crying scenes can really
get into you, it's going to really break your heart seeing that after
all that they've been through especially that part when he was saying
something to Mei Le on the video Things started to pick up
interesting changes at Episode 6/7 so if you think this is just a
typical boring one i would want you to stick around longer. With more
or less 1-2% ratings, I honestly say this series was being underrated.

Spoiler alert:

can i just say this? I'm really annoyed everytime one lead gets a
serious illness that may cause death why do they always want to break
up with the other one? Are they crazy? If it was me, i'll definitely
be honest with my partner. Like . .Hello?! I'm dying soon so why would
i waste time suffer a heartbreak that's totally not necessary??
Instead of breaking up i think i'll do my best to make out the best of
everything like living each day with my other half or something as
long as i live. But in the end, maybe i can only say that because i
haven't experienced it yet. Loving someone unconditionally. So i have
to say, Love really keeps on going. :)

The ending wasn't hanging at all. He made it out of that little room
right? What made me certain was that when his mom said he doesn't want
people to make him wait. Certainly a dead person won't be like that
